Born and bred Gladstone girl, Karen has lived in Gladstone her whole 41 years of age, attending Kin Kora State School then to Chanel College. She is a wife and mum of two young adult children, 17 year old daughter and 19 year old son.
In Karen’s words ‘I am fascinated by numbers and all things in the Taxation world’. She is an Accountant and Registered Tax Agent so naturally being Treasurer of the Hookup team certainly got her in with the numbers of the event along with her experience in Accounting and bookkeeping.
Karen also volunteer in various roles around our community:
She is the Treasurer of the Gladstone Multicultural Assoc. Inc. She is also involved with GAPDL Communities for Children as an Advisory Committee Member and is a Member of the Women Connecting Women Gladstone Inc.
She lives on 3 acres so enjoy’s the outdoors, camping and of course a little fishing. She owns a small tinny that her family likes to take out around the waterways of Gladstone region and the biggest fish she’s ever caught was a flathead 77cms long in the Auckland Creek.
