About the Association
The Boyne Tannum HookUp Association Incorporated is a not-for-profit organisation incorporated under the Queensland Associations Incorporated Act 1981. We are not a registered charity; however, our organisation acts as a platform for a number of charities/community groups to raise money in a small town and also to promote the Boyne Tannum area.
The Boyne Tannum HookUp Association works incredibly hard to make the Boyne Tannum HookUp one of the Gladstone Region’s most professional and prestigious events. Our mission is to bring people together through fishing while supporting and celebrating our local community. The Boyne Tannum HookUp Association has the following objectives as outlined in our Constitution:
- The promotion of commerce within our surrounding area.
- Provide a competition to promote the Boyne/Tannum and Gladstone area resources for the enjoyment of all amateur fishing individuals and families.
- Offer financial support to local charitable organisations from the proceeds of the HookUp fishing competition.
- Maintain an active role in fish restocking programs.
About the Event
The Boyne Tannum HookUp is Australia’s Biggest Family Fishing Competition, with both adult and junior categories. This 3-day event is held in a beautiful location of the Central Queensland Coast at Boyne Island.
