The Boyne Tannum HookUp is Australia’s Biggest Family Fishing Competition, with both adult and junior categories. This 3-day event is held in a beautiful location of the Central Queensland Coast at Boyne Island.
The Boyne Tannum HookUp is held annually over the Labour Day long weekend with the aim of bringing together friends, family, businesses, supporters and sponsors from all parts of Australia to enjoy a great community event.
With a prize pool worth over $450,000, the event attracts thousands of registered fishing competitors and visitors to Bray Park, Boyne Island where fishing weigh-ins, family entertainment and delicious food is provided over the three days of competition. In 2021, an additional satellite weigh-in station was added at the Gladstone Main VMR Boat Ramp on Alf O’Rourke Drive, Gladstone.
The Boyne Tannum HookUp Association works incredibly hard to make the Boyne Tannum HookUp one of the Gladstone Region’s most professional and prestigious events. The Boyne Tannum HookUp is a not-for-profit organisation that acts as a platform for a number of charities to raise money in a small town and also to promote the Boyne Tannum area.
The Boyne Tannum HookUp has run annually for the past 28 years and hopes to continue as an event for families to enjoy all that the Gladstone Region has to offer as a premier fishing location.
The Boyne Tannum HookUp is celebrating its 29th year in 2024 and wants to share the joy!
