Yes, you do need to be in Bray Park, Boyne Island for the 7am Friday Early Bird Prizes; as we encourage you to listen to the Queensland Water Police/MSQ Safety Briefing and the $10,000 Port of Gladstone Bounty Fish Riddle. You have to be in Bray Park, Boyne Island or the HookUp Gladstone satellite location in Memorial Park, Gladstone from 6pm Sunday (final day of the event) to win the fishing competition prizes within the 2 minute timer. However, for the promotional prizes each night you don’t have to be in either of the locations to win. These promotional prize draws will be live streamed each night from 6pm, so you can watch from home or stay out fishing and claim your prize.
Yes. The brag mat needs to a reputable brag mat and not a homemade one. You need to collect the annual HookUp brag mat sticker from the enquiries or merchandise stall to place on your brag mat for photos. However, if you purchase the HookUp brag mat then the winner of the live Barramundi category that is selected as the longest fish (catch & release brag mat allows for oversize barra to be weighed in via a photo submission at the HookUp weigh in stations) will have their prize money doubled (excluding the $5k GAWB Awoonga Dam tagged barramundi category).
You can register for HookUp until 3pm on every day of the competition to be considered for each night’s promotional draws that commence at 6pm, or to fish the competition and be in the running to win the fishing competition prizes.

Yes, you must show your HookUp electronic ticket to win one of the major draws. The raffles held by HookUp and community groups at the event are separate and to be in the running to win one of these prizes you need to buy a raffle ticket.
You go to the live or non-live fish weigh in areas and provide a photo of yourself on your PWC/waverunner holding the fish including the JETFISH sticker in the photo. The JETFISH sticker is available free from the enquiries or merchandise stalls.
