In order to deliver Australia’s biggest fishing competition, the HookUp engages with Gladstone Region community groups, sporting clubs and not for profit organisations to deliver many event functions. Each year these Community Partners collectively earn around $100,000 from the event to use for their own endeavours. Without these community volunteers, HookUp would not occur.
