What do you mean by leveraging?
Leveraging is how a business can benefit from an event or theme to gain new customers, draw more attention to their business and/or to build further awareness to their business or products. Business Leveraging is not about promoting the event, its focus is on the local small businesses.
Why should businesses leverage from events?
Because events can bring visitors to the region and get attention of locals who may be big fans of the event. Events like the Boyne Tannum HookUp create high energy and excitement attracting thousands of locals and visitors to the event. Boyne Tannum HookUp has 12,000 followers on Facebook, over 12,000 contacts on their data base and attracts over 50 event sponsors. These are big numbers and if local businesses can catch the attention of some of these followers, then there’s an opportunity to bring in new business. The Boyne Tannum HookUp is about the region prospering from the event, boosting the local economy for everyone.
What is a Think Tank and how does it work?
A Think Tank is where a group of businesses come together to assist each other in developing innovative creative opportunities that are not expensive for labour intensive. A Think Tank will enable business owners/managers to use their creative brain to explore new ways of getting the public’s attention, or selling more products, or collaborating with other businesses to extent and grow their business during and after the Boyne Tannum HookUp.
What is a Business Leveraging Think Tank?
A Business Leveraging Think Tank is a business planning session facilitated by the Boyne Tannum HookUp’s Business Development Coordinator to assist local businesses to leverage from various events including the Boyne Tannum HookUp.
How can my business benefit from attending a Business Leveraging Think Tank?
The Think Tank will provide business owners/managers with a chance to see their business using different eyes and become more open to doing something unique and creative to generate new interest in their business. To quote David Engwicht from his book, Your New Wings, “living life more creatively, you need to practice creativity every day.”
Who can attend a Business Leveraging Think Tank?
Everyone is welcome to attend a Business Leveraging Think Tank and if you can’t attend the Think Tank Boyne Tannum HookUp’s Business Development Coordinator is happy to meet with you to talk your business one on one.
Where and when is the Business Leveraging Think Tank on?
The first of these free sessions are on:
- 10th March 2022 from 5.30pm at the Boyne Tannum Community Centre
- 17th March 2022 from 5.30pm at NFP House 1A 136 Goondoon Street Gladstone
- 6th April 2022 from 5.30pm hosted virtually via Zoom
